KTS 5 Postponed For Now

Hello all,

It looks like KTS is on hold until Fall at the earliest. It's a big job running a swap and unfortunately neither me or any of my fab co-hosts can take it on right now. Work and travel are demanding my energy right now (especially my first trip to London for a proper Afternoon Tea), but I'm hoping I will have more time in the Fall to devote to KTS, so please check back after the summer.

If you're a previous swapper, I encourage you to start your own tea swap! I'm happy to fill you in on the ins and outs of swap admin and post a link/announcement to your swap here.

Cheers for now,

Suzie

KTS 5: An Update

Hi all,

I know many of you have been waiting patiently for info on the next round of the Knitters Tea Swap. I was aiming for a May start, but work, family and travel commitments have given me second thoughts about my role with the swap. I have too much on my plate to oversee the KTS with as much attention as I have in the past. So, I've been talking to one of my co-hosts from a previous round about taking the reins. So, as soon as there's more news, you'll read it here first.

Thanks so much for your interest (and your patience)!

Suzie

All the way from Texas -

through the christmas chaos it finally landed :). Many thanks and gratitude to Becky in Texas for my wonderful package (its the stuff in the pink).

I got my prize!

My sock book finally came from contest #4. I'm not sure what the post office did with it as the outer package looked like it had been through a war and it was WAY late from when it was post marked. The book is in good shape though and I love, love, love the patterns. Thank You!!!!

Belated Thanks For Extra Surprises!

I remembered late last night that I have been remiss in a Thank You!

My Knitter's Tea Swap pal, Macarena, sent me an extra little package, which I received the day before Christmas.

Inside was a sweet holiday assortment of Stash teas, a little bag of Champagne Truffles (which were treated with more restraint than you might expect of a chocoholic like myself - I didn't devour them until the day after Christmas, thankyouverymuch.) and an extraordinarily cute set of glass sheep stitch markers.

(As an aside, Macarena wrote in her card, "I hope you can tell what animal they are," and sure enough when I passed them to the backseat for Squirrel Inspection (because of course I rip into surprise packages while the car idles at the bottom of the drive by the mail box) youngest Squirrel said, "What? Are they cows?!" To which her older and wiser sister replied, "No, they're wooly sheep, see the fluffy bumps? And there are no milkers on their bellies. Duh.")

Thank you so much, Macarena! It was a lovely and unexpected gift!

Thanks you

I had finally received my parcel from my partner Monika a few days back. The parcel is fabulous. The yarns, the cookies ( my favourite now) and the tea. Everything is so nice.

* would post up the pics soon*

Partner MIA

Well - I think my partner is officially MIA. I've sent her half a dozen emails, and none of them have gotten any response, not even to let me know that she got my package. Sigh...
